Wewise, partner of skipper Fabrice Amedeo

The obvious partnership!
The partnership between Fabrice Amedeo and Wewise is based on strong shared values and a mutual understanding of the energy transition’s crucial importance. Our common goal? To meet the challenges of the Vendée Globe using only renewable energies.
A technical sporting challenge
- 15 m2 of solar panels that will constantly recharge the IMOCA’s batteries
- A CO2, salinity, and temperature sensor to help scientists understand the effects of global warming on the ocean
- A microplastics sensor to measure plastic pollution and other forms of pollution due to human activity
- An environmental DNA sensor to assess biodiversity by measuring the presence of living organisms in the ocean

Thank you to the Wewise teams for their trust. Our project has really come together because my boat now bears the name of two carbon-free energy players and our specific ambition is to complete the Vendée Globe without fossil-based energy. We have a great year ahead of us and I’m looking forward to promoting all the messages and values important to my partners and sharing a wonderful story on the seas.
